{"id":118,"date":"2024-11-20T09:15:00","date_gmt":"2024-11-20T09:15:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thejournalingmagazine.com\/?p=118"},"modified":"2024-12-12T08:58:49","modified_gmt":"2024-12-12T08:58:49","slug":"is-paper-still-alive-kicking","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thejournalingmagazine.com\/index.php\/2024\/11\/20\/is-paper-still-alive-kicking\/","title":{"rendered":"Is Paper still Alive &amp; Kicking?"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image alignleft size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"600\" height=\"439\" src=\"https:\/\/thejournalingmagazine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/paper-.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-120\" style=\"width:351px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/thejournalingmagazine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/paper-.jpg 600w, https:\/\/thejournalingmagazine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/paper--300x220.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One should think that because of the digital revolution, paper would be eliminated out of people&#8217;s lives.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I personally think the opposite is true; no matter what the digital revolution is doing: paper is still and probably shall always be alive and kicking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You must agree that there is nothing more fun than sitting on the couch with your book, news paper, photo album, scrapbook or art journal.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There is nothing more fun than looking through pages of memories, news or drawings and pictures.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A laptop, iPad or iPhone can\u2019t change anything about that wonderful lazy feeling of wandering through memory lane.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can lay back if you want to browse nice quiet which is far more relaxed than watching at a high resolution screen which effect your brain all the time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During the time when I was very sick the computer always drained me totally empty. When you are healthy you probably have no idea what a computer screen can do to your alert system in your brain and there fore for example your hormones.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It keeps your brain busy all the time which means that you use a lot of energy which you do need when you are kind of sick.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Now I am not going to prevent you from using your brilliantly invented computer or mobile possibities; it\u2019s one of the most interesting inventions in history.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">What I like people to know, is not to forget that just a piece of paper can do far more magic to you and your imagination than you think.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Although using too much paper isn\u2019t that nice for <a href=\"https:\/\/rockythepanda.com\/rocky-bambolino\/\">the worlds environment regarding trees<\/a> etcetera. But that is another story since with art mixed media journaling we recycle from what ever is destroyed anyway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Remember when we were in kinder garten and playing with paint and paper stuff. Wasn\u2019t that more fun than we should have played on a computer?&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I think so since most of us are a generation who can comparise paper with digital things more.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Children who are brought up with a laptop and iPad in their hand don\u2019t know any better and probably don\u2019t even think about playing with paper.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I think the imagination of a kid can go much further with paper than with a computer, but I am no scientist or psychologist.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I think it doesn\u2019t even matter if I am one; my imagination tells me intuitive that smashing with real life paint and paper is far more creative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For me personally playing around with paper and pencils has always been far more relaxing than anything else.
